Kendriya Vidyalaya Mahe is situated in the sylvan surroundings of Mahe, a tiny point in the geographical map of Kerala, 647 kms away from UT Puducherry. This former petite French town covers an area of 9 sq.kms on the west cost of the Indian peninsula between Badagara and Thalassery in Kerala state. The Vidyalaya was established in the academic year 2008 as a civil sector school. The school started functioning on 9.7.08 with classes from I to V with one section each. The first batch of class X students appeared in Class X exams during the academic year 2013-‘14. At present the school is functioning in a temporary rented building sponsored by the Mahe Administration. The new school building with all infrastructural facilities, is under construction in the land occupying an area of 3.95 acres earmarked by the Sponsoring Authority to KVS and is expected to start functioningin the academic year 2019-2020..The Vidyalaya offers library with more than 4000 booksincluding reference section. The Vidyalaya has 23 staff on roll .The bilingual medium of instruction adopted to impart education will help the students to achieve a reasonable proficiency in both the languages- HIndi and English. The fore most aim of the vidyalaya is to focus on the all-round development of the child by ensuring quality education to mould themselves into great citizens and personalities in their respective fields of interest.
